With the Alpha-Omega Ultra V2, Darkglass Electronics release a bass distortion effect pedal with the same level of versatility as a Swiss Army knife. Here, you're getting two distinctive distortion channels (Alpha and Omega), a huge dynamic range, a six-band active EQ, a headphone output, a balanced output and, last but not least, switchable impulse response cabinet simulations. The direct output can even be sent directly to the front-of-house, saving the sound engineer from having to set up a bunch of microphones! What's more, thanks to cabinet simulation, you'll always have 'your' sound with you wherever you go, whether it's a studio or stage.

Het is een solide en veelzijdig pedaal met een mooi formaat.
Er zitten veel, en allemaal goede, klanken in. Het is wel even zoeken soms omdat er zoveel af te stellen is en soms vind ik het jammer dat je geen instellingen kunt opslaan, zodat je snel van geluid en mate van overdrive kunt switchen, maar dat is hoe het met dit soort pedalen is en dat maakt ze ook weer goed in geluidskwaliteit, anders wordt het al snel weer chemisch en digitaal.

Dit pedaal is erg veelzijdig. De distortion gaat van modern klinisch tot bijna fuzz. Daarnaast zit er veel variatie in de speakerkabinet simulaties. De kwaliteit van het geluid vind ik erg goed. Het zorgt voor een glimlach op mijn gezicht elke keer als ik met het pedaal speel.
